- 200g GALLOWAY CHEDDAR, grated
- 800g flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cayenne
- 920g butter
- 150g almonds
What to do
- Preheat oven to 220°C/450°F/gas 8.
- Mix flour, salt, cayenne and cheese. Add butter and mix until mixture resembles coarse meal. Knead until smooth.
- Roll out dough and cut into 5 cm rounds, making approximately 16 rounds; transfer to greased baking sheet and top with almonds.
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
